Ronald R. Barris:
Mr. Barris is a founding Partner
in Barris Lotterer Management Consulting specializing in
High Technology Marketing, Sales, and Operations. He has
over 35 years of Business Experience in applying the techniques
of marketing and planning strategies, the proper application
of automation techniques using Siebel, delivery systems
strategy, product development, service and software offerings,
and the design of overall corporate systems. Mr. Barris
also has a wealth of experience in Product Development and
Product Fulfillment Processes. He was the Managing Partner
of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Semiconductor Industry
Practice, and more recently, a Strategist and SVP for Cadence
Design Systems. He also spent a significant portion of his
career with General Electric’s Power Generation Business
in both marketing and sales.
Mr. Barris has held most of the business roles in high
technology marketing and sales functions, including VP-Marketing
and VP-Sales with an international focus, and as a consultant
focused on improving the return on marketing dollars...often
shortening the time to complete a sale through more targeted
marketing, and increasing the awareness of what needs to
be focused on in the marketing and selling process.
Mr. Barris has held functional and management positions
in General Management, Operations (manufacturing and engineering),
Marketing, Strategic Planning, Sales Engineering, Services,
Manufacturing and Project Management. This experience spans
both international and domestic projects and includes the
development of multinational business relationships. This
cross-functional experience enables Mr. Barris quickly identify
process improvements that can increase business performance
within and across business functions.
He is considered a thought leader in the design and implementation
of Collaborative Product Commerce; the doing of business
between global teams and across enterprise boundaries, and
in the development of the design chain, the supply chain
and the management of those relationships over the product
life cycle. He has particular experience in developing business
and operational strategy that results in significantly reducing
the amount of lead time and investment required to bring
new products and service offerings to market and establishing
the delivery of products/offerings as a strong strategic
element of the Enterprise.
Mr. Barris was a founding member of the Material Handling
Research Center at Georgia Tech University and a founding
member of the Assembly Automation Manufacturer’s Association.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering
from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Science
degree in Operations Research from Union College.

James F. Lotterer:
James F. Lotterer is a founding
Partner in Barris Lotterer Management Consulting specializing
in Operational Excellence and Change Management, with a
focus on the Product Development and Product Fulfillment
Processes. He is a former Partner in Coopers & Lybrand's
Center for Operations Technology, and has extensive experience
applying the techniques of strategic planning, corporate
restructuring, turnaround, and implementing world class
operational tactics and systems. More recently, he was the
Partner in charge of Computer Science Corporation's Aerospace
and Defense Consulting Practice, where he helped Aerospace
Manufacturers apply e-business and information systems technologies
to reengineered processes in order to improve responsiveness,
flexibility and cost.
Mr. Lotterer has extensive experience
in High Technology, Commercial, and Industrial Manufacturing.
He has held both functional and executive positions in General
Management, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality
and Business Development. Specific industry experience includes
Automotive; Aerospace and Defense; Communications Equipment;
Contract Manufacturing; Electronics Assembly and Test; Hybrid
Integrated Circuit Manufacturing; Medical Electronics; Metal
Fabrication; Machine Tools; Metals Processing; Office Equipment
manufacturing; Sports Equipment and Telecommunications.
Mr. Lotterer combines his extensive
industry, management and consulting experience to help companies
increase competitiveness, through operational restructuring
and turn around. He and his partner have restructured over
50 companies in the last 12 years to a lower base cost and
competitive basis, and 8 of those clients have saved over
$100 million on the bottom line 12 to 18 months after they
started.
Mr. Lotterer began his career with
Motorola in the communications sector, and went on to lead
the quality revolution in Motorola's Automotive Electronics
Business Unit. He was instrumental in the development of
the six-sigma process and took a leadership role in driving
a ten times improvement in overall quality. He held senior
manufacturing management positions with Pitney Bowes Electronic
Meter and Scales Division, where he was responsible for
implementing Just-in-time Manufacturing and Total Quality
Management programs; He was an Executive Vice President
with Connell Limited Partnership, a $1.5 billion industrial
manufacturing company, where he led an operational restructuring
effort that resulted in increasing the value of the precision
metals division. He was also a Partner in Coopers & Lybrand's
Center for Manufacturing Excellence; and Partner in charge
of Computer Science Corporation's Aerospace and Defense
Consulting Practice.
Mr. Lotterer is a graduate of Florida
Atlantic University with a degree in Electronics Engineering
and a Masters of Business Administration, with emphasis
on General Management.
